Rawls Grimsley in Concert

Rawls Grimsley Rawls Grimsley Local artist, Rawls Grimsley, has just released Christmas Music, his debut project that celebrates the most magical time of year. Rawls believes the power of Christmas music is very important. “With every- one’s Christmas looking so different, whether that be hot/cold, with/without loved ones, or with/without a lot,” he expressed, “one of the only things that binds us all together is Christmas music.” Rawls worked with fellow artist and friend, Andrew Blooms, at Blooms Sounds based out of Athens to create his EP back in late October. He described the music producing process as something like he has never experienced before. “I walked into a completely unfamiliar situation with many fears and walked away overwhelmed with how awesome of an experience it was,” he said.

The recording is comprised of five songs (four originals and one cover) in total. His music embodies many different styles, with no two songs sounding alike. He went on to say, “My one hope is that no matter what Christmas looks like for them, people will hear this music, and it will bring them a little happiness for the holidays.” Rawls is celebrating the release of his project with The Sound of Christmas, a show at local Cotton Hall Theater on December 16, starting at 6:00 p.m. and running about an hour and a half. He invites you personally to come and hear his new music, along with the holiday favorites we all know and love! Tickets are $10/each. You can get those by calling the Cotton Hall box office at 1-229- 758-5450.
