Another Crash on Main

On Wednesday, October 31, 2018, a call came into E-911 at approximately 6:44 p.m. that an accident had occurred on GA Highway 91 at Main and Fourth Streets, one of the most dangerous intersections in the county.

First responders were dispatched at 6:46 p.m., and they arrived at the wreck scene at 6:52 p.m.

The GSP report states that Artavia Leon Wright of 353 Phillips Street was traveling west on Main Street.

Raina Keyera Butler of 358 North Second Street, Colquitt, was at a stop sign and got waved through the intersection by a semi that had left the scene.

Butler proceeded into the intersection into the path of Wright.

There were two passengers in Butler’s vehicle: a nine-year-old and a seven-year-old, but no one was injured in the accident.

Butler, driving a 2016 Ford Fusion, hit Wright’s 2011 Ford Fusion on the front driver’s side wheel. This caused Butler’s vehicle to spin 180 degrees.
