Two Vehicle Accident Causes One Injury


The Ford Super Duty received back end damage from the accident. The Ford Super Duty received back end damage from the accident. On Monday morning at approximately 9:00 a.m., a two vehicle accident occurred on GA 1 North.

The accident was reported, and Colquitt Police officers, Miller County EMS ambulances, Colquitt/Miller Volunteer Fire responders and a Georgia State Patrol officer were called to the crash scene.

The report states that Hope R. Heard of 544 GA Highway 45 North was traveling North on GA 1 in the right lane.

Leroy M. Bush of 135 Burr Road was also traveling north on GA 1, also in the right lane.

Heard, driving a 2011 Ford SRW Super Duty truck, slowed her speed attempting to make a right turn into the Super B gas station. The vehicle was registered to Ray Dean Heard of the same address.

Bush, driving a 2015 Ram 3500 ST pickup truck, did not slow his speed and struck the rear of Heard’s vehicle with his front. The vehicle was registered to Amy Alane Bush of the same address. After impact, Heard’s vehicle was forced into the parking lot of Super B and came to a final rest facing east.

Bush was cited for following too closely. Both vehicles were removed by Watson’s Wrecker Service due to disabling damage.
