On Sunday, April 5, Deputy Kenny Knowles was patrolling on GA Hwy. 91 North when he observed a white truck traveling east bound at a high rate of speed. Deputy Knowles clocked the vehicle at 72 mph in a 44 mph zone.

The officer made a traffic stop on the vehicle and advised the driver, Martin Reyes Campose, of an Albany address, why he was being stopped. When asked for his license, he stated that he had never had a driver license in the United States.

Deputy Knowles advised the subject that he was under arrest for driving while unlicensed. He was transported to the Miller County Jail and issued citations for driving while unlicensed and speeding.

On Friday,April 10, Deputy Brent Haire was dispatched to the Miller County Sheriff’s Office to speak with a subject concerning identity fraud.

Upon his arrival, Deputy Haire was met by Rowell J. Lafrancois. Mr. Lafrancois stated that someone had stolen his identity by using his social security number to file a income tax return. The IRS was contacted and advised Mr. Lafrancois to file an incident report with the sheriff’s office from the county in which he lives.
