Vehicle Accident

On February 10 Donna Clifton Hatfield of a Blakely address, driving a 2010 Nissan Altima was backing out of a parking space at Rite Aid.

Norman Ward of a Colquitt address was also backing out in a 2000 Volkswagon Passat.

Both Hatfield and Ward said they did not see the other one backing and their vehicles made contact with one another.

No one was injured.

Hollis Smith of the Colquitt Police Department was the reporting officer.

Vehicle Accident

On February 12, A’Sia Lashae Davis, driving a 2001 Ford Taraus was attempting to back out of a parking space at the Kangaroo Express on Fourth St. The vehicle was registered to a Larry Bernard Edwards of a Bainbridge address.

While backing, she misjudged clearance and struck a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado registered to a Robert Larry Herndon, Jr. of a Quitman address on the passenger back side.

There were no injuries and no citations were issued. Davis was found at fault.

Officer Natalie Moulton of the Colquitt Police Department was the reporting officer .

Vehicle Accident

On February 10 Billy Howard Roland of a Colquitt address was in the Rite Aid parking lot backing south bound.

Melanese R. Stervenson, also of a Colquitt address was in the Rite Aid Parking lot facing south stopped waiting to turn onto Crawford St.

Roland’s vehicle, a 2005 Ford F150 struck Stervenson’s vehicle, a 2005 Chrysler on the driver rear quarter panel.

No injuries were repoted and both drivers were able to drive their vehicles away. No citations were issued. Roland was found at fauly for improper backing.

Officer Kenny Knowles of the Colquitt Police Department was the reporting officer.

Disorderly Conduct

On February 5, 2015, Officer Tyrone Burns was dispatched to Miller County Hospital in reference to an assault.

Upon arrival at the hospital, Officer Burns spoke to the victim, Miss Ursular Butler. She stated that her stepfather, Lamaris Bush and her mother, Tina Parramre, of Grow Trailer Park, had gotten into a verbal altercation. She stated Bush started throwing things around the residence and she was hit in the face on the left side. Officer Burns spoke with the nurse about the injury and he stated that she needed at least two stitches in the side of her face.

According to statements from Ms. Paramore, she stated her boyfriend, Lamaris Bush came home drunk and started fussing with her. Since he was drunk, she asked him to leave and that’s when he started throwing things.

Officer Burns then went to Grow Trailer Park to speak with Bush. Bush stated that he did not mean to hurt his step-daughter and that he was sorry she got injured.

Officer Burns told Bush that he needed to calm down and leave the residence to keep from going to jail. He was also told by the officer to not return to the residence unless he called an officer to escort him to get the rest of his belongings.

Officer Tyrone Burns was the reporting officer.
