Mr. Patrick Thomas Sammon, age 58 of Colquitt died Friday, February 20, 2015, at Miller County Hospital. 

Funeral services wereheld Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Colquitt United Methodist Church with Scott Roberts and Rev. Rebecca Duke-Barton officiating. Interment followed at Colquitt City Cemetery with Joel Josey, Billy Ingram, Roy Lee Morgan, Scott Roberts, Mark Miller, and John McGoogan serving as pall bearers. 

Mr. Sammon was a member of Colquitt United Methodist Church. He was a 1974 graduate of Southwest Georgia Academy where he was a member of the State Championship football team and a graduate of the University of Georgia in 1979.  He was also an avid outdoorsman where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating in the Gulf of Mexico. Patrick had a true entrepreneurial spirit.   He retired as owner of Pat Sammon Chevrolet.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Sammon of Colquitt; two daughters, Ashley Sammon of Newton, and Kelly Williams of Colquitt; one son, Caine Williams of Albany; one granddaughter, Hollie Williams; two sisters, Jan (Johnny) McGoogan, Stacey (Boyd) Johnson, both of Atlanta; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Sammon was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Dot Sammon.

Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
