Time for a Dose of Laughter!

A haircut is always in order at Mayhaw! A haircut is always in order at Mayhaw! If recent weather has got you feeling blue, then you are long overdue for a dose of May-Haw: Laughter is the Best Medicine at Cotton Hall Theater. With only one weekend of performances left, tickets are selling fast!

Laughter is the Best Medicine is the latest theatrical offering of Cotton Hall’s popular May-Haw variety show, directed and adapted for the stage by Karen Kimbrel. A new production of May-Haw will premiere in April 2012 to coincide with the National Mayhaw Festival.

Join the good folks at Lucy’s Diner for the grand opening of her newly constructed restaurant and juke joint. Here, you can listen to your favorite Grand Ole Opry singers belting out golden oldies and toe tapping tunes. Queezle Erskin,

Marvin Spitzsnargle, and Floyd B. Loyd are once again taking over the microphone and spinning tales of Reverend Pencil Johnson’s antics. They are joined on the stage by an ensemble of Colquitt’s best jokesters and Dr. Phil Goode. He’ll be glad to give you a prescription for a good time!

May-Haw: Laughter is the Best Medicine will be performed Friday, January 27, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, January 28, at 2:00 and 5:30 p.m.

Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased at the Bride and Gift Gallery, Market on the Square, and the Colquitt Miller County Chamber of Commerce or online at: www.swampgravy.com.
