Nursing Home News

by Suzanne Griffin

We have had lots of exciting activities around the nursing home this past week.

We started with Sunday School Sunday morning, and members from Macedonia FWB Church were here that afternoon.

On Monday morning Ms. Linnie Gibson led our Bible study. Monday afternoon we honored our grandparents by having refreshments and having time for all of them to share about their grandchildren. We also had our monthly Volunteer Meeting Monday afternoon.

Tuesday was an exciting day. Miss Mamie Daniels turned 100 years old. We had our regular bingo games on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. We spent Tuesday afternoon painting the ladies finger nails getting them ready for the birthday party.

Wednesday morning members from Colquitt First Baptist had our church service, and we had our monthly birthday party that afternoon. Union Baptist was the host church for the party. They served home made pound cake, cheese puffs, and punch. There are eight residents having a birthday this month.

Thursday afternoon we had a little competition in bowling. That evening we enjoyed our monthly sing.

James Judkins was with us Friday morning and Friday afternoon; we played balloon ball.

Our families were here Saturday along with Scott Messer.

So you can see it was another packed week. Thank you to everyone who had part in any of our activities. If you came to visit, thanks, and we hope you come again.
