Nursing Home News

by Suzanne Griffin

Residents at Miller Nursing Home had a week packed with activities.

Sunday morning we had our regular Sunday School lesson, and Sunday afternoon Christ Holiness came to share with us.

Monday morning Ms. Linnie Gibson gave our Bible Study. We enjoyed having a time of reminiscing about our summer times past, how we spent our days, how we kept cool, and how much things have changed. Monday evening Mt. Zion Fellowship came to share with the residents.

Tuesday, we played bingo in the morning, and we were moving to the music Tuesday afternoon. The Joy Lighters came to share in song Tuesday evening.

Wednesday morning members from Colquitt First Baptist Church came for our church service. We enjoyed having coke floats that afternoon.

Thursday morning was another round of bingo. We had a little friendly competition with basketball on Thursday afternoon. Buddy Johnson came to sing for us Thursday night and, boy, did we have a good time.

We were blessed to have Gayle Grimsley with us Friday morning to sing. Elvis was in the house in "Blue Hawaii" on Friday afternoon.

So you can see we have been very busy. Thanks to everyone who had part with the activities last week.
