Mrs. Barbara Jean King Morgan, age 56, of Colquitt died Thursday, August 6, 2009.

Ms. Morgan was born December 28, 1952, to the late Dovert Perkins and the late Dorothy King. She was employed by Amoco Fabrics and Fibers for many years until her health began to fail.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 12, at 11:00 a.m. at New Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Edward J. Greer officiating. Interment followed in Rocky Cemetery in Colquitt.

Pallbearers were Willie D. Perkins, Leon Perkins, Lamar Perkins and Dennis Perkins.

Survivors include her three children, Adrian (Trivia) Peterson, Kelvin (Debjuan) Morgan, Colquitt, Tonda (Ronnie) Randall, Climax; four sisters, Wanda Howard, St. Petersburg, FL, Betty (Michael) Williams, Agnes (Luke) Gilbert, Janice (Raymond) Shepard, all of Atlanta; seven brothers, Minister Larry (Glenda) King, Baltic, CT, Fredrick King, Sanford, FL, Willie (Rhonda) D. Perkins, Atlanta, Alton King, Leon (Melva) Perkins, Lamar (Gloria) Perkins, Dennis (Liz) Perkins, Colquitt; six grandchildren, Avia

Y So On Y So Peterson, Adrian Peterson Jr., Kelson Morgan, Dajah Morgan, Jaylon Randall, and Braxton Harrell; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

Williams' Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
