EXPRESS YOURSELF BY PLAYING GUITAR HERO AND WII

The Southwest Georgia Regional Library System invites all area teens ages 11 - 18 to play Guitar Hero on the PlayStation 2 on Monday, June 1 at 3:30 p.m. at the Miller County - James W. Merritt, Jr. Memorial Library. While you're here, play games on our Nintendo Wii! Play our games or bring your own. Games must be rated E or E+.

BE CREATIVE: CRAFTS AT YOUR LIBRARY!

The Miller County - James W. Merritt, Jr. Memorial Library presents "Be Creative: Crafts at Your Library" on Thursday, June 4, and Thursday, June 18, at 3:30 p.m. We will be creative by making a memo pad and a dream catcher this summer. This program is open to children ages 5 - 9 only. Space is limited to the first 40 attendees.

KICK OFF YOUR SUMMER WITH YOUR TEDDY BEAR!

The Southwest Georgia Regional Library System is proud to kick off the 2009 Vacation Reading Program with a Teddy Bear Picnic! Join storyteller, Ms. Taryn, for stories, songs, and fun on Tuesday, June 2 at 3:30 p.m. at the Miller County - James W. Merritt, Jr. Memorial Library. Bring your teddy bear as we tell all kinds of teddy bear stories!

2009 Vacation Reading Program

These programs are a part of the 2009 Vacation Reading Program. Read at least 20 books this summer to earn rewards from Fun Station in Tallahassee, Florida, and Hardee's and for a chance to win fabulous prizes from sponsors including The Parks at Chehaw in Albany and Bainbridge Mall Cinemas. The top two overall readers this summer will win magnificent prizes from Wal-Mart and Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta. You also have the chance to win a free ice cream cone from Dairy Queen by attending a Vacation Reading Program event.
