Part of the Mission Team leaving Colquitt United Methodist Church Friday met the rest of the team at the Atlanta Airport. They flew to Costa Rica Saturday morning. A church bus load of 15 missionaries and two drivers from Colquitt headed for the Atlanta Airport on Friday, July 11. This local group joined with 34 more members of the mission team. Saturday they flew out of Atlanta to Costa Rica for 10 days of construction work on three churches and to work with Vacation Bible School for 100 kids each day.

The team has a total of 46 men, women and children going to work and minister to people in Costa Rica. Of that group, 23 of the participants have a relation to the Colquitt United Methodist Church.

We knew that the team arrived in Costa Rica when Joanna Richardson emailed the Miller County Liberal that they made it and reported that the meetings and people were awesome.

The Rev. David Thompson, pastor of the Colquitt United Methodist Church, is the team leader of this mission trip

A list of the names of all the team members will be given after they return to the USA on July 20.

All of the team members request your prayers daily that they may complete the task before them and everyone return safely knowing that he/she did what the Lord has commanded.
