The home side of Pirate Stadium was almost completely filled with parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends of the 2007 Miller County High School graduates Friday evening, May 25, 2007.

It was nearly perfect weather for the commencement of the 2007 graduating class, unlike the rains from previous years that moved the graduation inside the gymnasium. Even though the rain was needed, it was nice that is stayed away for the solemn service.

This year's class chose the motto, "Together we have experienced life, separately we will pursue our dreams, and forever our memories will remain." The class flower remains the red rose while the class colors are red and white.

The large crowd rose as the Miller County High School band, under the direction of Mr. Richard Horne played "Pomp and Circumstance," and the junior marshals led the MCHS Class of 2007 under the arch and to the chairs in the center of the football field.

The invocation was given by Kelvin Hallmon after which Renae Goodwin led in the Pledge of Allegiance. Whitney Cleveland welcomed the crowd to the commencement.

Receiving academic excellence were left to right: Alexis Bevis, Zach Kelley, Varlin Sheffey, Brianna Smith and Cleve Weeks.
